Uptime Institute and Indonesia’s data-centre provider association IDPRO signed a memorandum of understanding in Jakarta on November 2. The agreement covers knowledge exchange, workforce development and practices intended to strengthen data-centre performance and sustainability.
An agreement around operating capability
The partnership brings an international infrastructure-assessment business together with the local provider association. That structure could help translate operating practices into the conditions and workforce needs of Indonesian facilities.
Local industry participation matters
The announcement establishes a cooperation framework. It does not disclose newly certified facilities, contracted computing capacity or a quantified improvement in availability.
Implementation will be measurable
Training participation, applied operating reviews and subsequent facility results will show how the agreement develops. Those outcomes matter to the regional computing ecosystem because capacity expansion also requires people and processes able to operate it reliably.
